Booking Terms

Terms and Conditions

River Valley Holiday Park is a family owned and managed site. Our aim is to provide you with safe, peaceful caravanning, touring and camping in beautiful surroundings on a well-managed, clean park. To achieve this we must make our Terms and Conditions clear, therefore please read this document carefully. We look forward to meeting you.


A 25% deposit, non refundable is required to secure bookings, this forms a contract between yourself and River Valley Holiday Park.

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that all Terms and Conditions are observed by all guests and their visitors.

Full payment is required 28 days prior to arrival, this is non refundable.

If you want to amend your booking please telephone the office on 01726 73533 as soon as possible or email Changes cannot be made within 7 days prior to arrival.

We welcome touring and camping bookings for any day of the week and will try our best to meet a request regarding pitch location. However, this is not always possible due to our flexible daily booking system.

The person making the booking must be a member of the party and be over 18 years old. This person will be responsible for the members of the party.

We regret that we cannot accept bookings for unaccompanied persons under 18 years of age.

We regret no refunds can be made if you choose to vacate your pitch early under any circumstances.

All advance bookings during peak times must be for a minimum of three nights.

Extensions to bookings, if available, must be paid for in full at the time of agreement.

We do not accept multiple unit bookings or large bookings unless by prior agreement.

Holiday homes

Our weekly bookings start on Saturday although in the peak season 19/07 – 30/08 we are able to offer a selection of holiday homes on a Friday to Friday changeover.

We offer short breaks – Friday to Monday (3 nights) or Monday to Friday (4 nights) excluding the weeks 20/07/19 – 30/08/19.

There is a dog charge of £30 per week – £15 for short breaks.

Please note that a single bed has to be removed from all caravans to make room for the cot.

All of our caravans are strictly non-smoking.

We provide bedlinen but not towels.

Pitch areas

The entirety of your unit(s) must be pitched within your pitch area, including your one vehicle per pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked elsewhere as directed on arrival.

The size of the unit (eg tent, caravan, trailer tent, motorhome etc) including awnings & extensions must be stipulated at the time of booking to ensure the pitch you are allocated is appropriate. In circumstances where the unit size including awnings, extensions, pup tents and gazebos exceeds that of the pitch booked we reserve the right to require the rearrangement of pitch equipment or to relocate or refuse accommodation, which may not be refundable.

Anyone who is deemed to have pitched outside a pitch boundary or inconsiderately may be asked to re-pitch, relocated or refused accommodation, which may not be refundable.

Pitch safety

For the safety of all guests we do not allow caravans to run off large gas canisters on site.
There is a maximum of 6 persons per pitch.

One gazebo or one pup tent is allowed per pitch if it fits within the pitch after you have sited your unit.

Arrivals & departures:

Pitches are available from 12noon on the day of arrival. Reserved pitches will be held until 8pm on the day of arrival. If you are delayed on your journey, please let us know as soon as possible by telephoning reception on 01726 843687. We reserve the right to re-let the pitch if you have not contacted us or arrived by 8pm. No refunds will be given for non-arrivals.

We reserve the right to delay check-in on any pitch.

All pitches must be vacated by 11am unless by prior arrangement. We reserve the right to charge for an extra night for late departures.

Dogs & other animals

A maximum of three dogs per pitch is permitted.

Dogs are to be kept on a short lead and under control at all times whilst on the park.

Dogs may be exercised within the dog walking field, on a lead.

Any dog foul must be cleared up immediately.

Owners who allow their dogs off the lead or to foul without cleaning up after them will be asked to leave the site with immediate effect without a refund.

Pets must not be left unattended on a pitch at any time.

Dogs (except guide dogs) are not allowed in any of the buildings including showers/toilets, laundry, reception/shop.

Animals must be pre-booked. River Valley Holiday Park reserves the right to refuse animals that it deems are inappropriate for a family site. No animals can be left penned or caged overnight outside.

All animals/pets must be booked onto your pitch.


Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. All children must be under adult supervision while using the play equipment.

Children under 7 must be accompanied to the toilets, showers, laundry and shop by a parent/guardian.

All children are expected to be back at their pitch with their families by 10pm.
Children are to be supervised in the pool at all times.

The site:

River Valley is a quiet, family park and we insist that the site is quiet between 11pm and 7am.

There is a 5 mph (walking pace) speed limit throughout the park. There must be no vehicle movements between 11pm and 7am.

We do not accept bookings for units towed by commercial vehicles (contact the park for advice).

Bicycles are allowed as long as they are ridden in a safe controlled manner.

The lighting of fires is strictly forbidden. We allow purpose made barbeques if they are lifted off the ground and we can provide bricks for your use.

River Valley Holiday Park does not accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage arising to any person using the site. Nor do we accept responsibility for any damage occasioned to personal property, motor vehicles, or pets while on the park.

Guests are not permitted to allow a visitor to enter through the barrier – doing so will render the barrier key useless. Visitors must report to reception on arrival and vacate the site by 9pm.

River Valley Holiday Park has an onsite security barrier. Each booking is required to supply a £10 cash refundable deposit for the use of your barrier pass throughout your stay. Barrier passes must be returned by 11am on the day of departure.


From time to time we run offers and promotions. These are strictly limited to one booking per family and are subject to availability. All bookings made for a special offer must be paid in full at the time of booking.


All bookings cancelled less that 28 days before the arrival date must be paid for in full – no refund will be given.

Deposits are non-refundable once paid.

We reserve the right to decline a booking or terminate a holiday, without a refund, if in the opinion of the proprietors or staff the unreasonable behaviour of guests may lead to a situation that could prejudice the service, safety or comfort of other guests or staff.
