Booking Terms

Terms and Conditions

River Valley Holiday Park is a family owned and managed site. Our aim is to provide you with safe, peaceful caravanning, touring and camping in beautiful surroundings on a well-managed, clean park. To achieve this we must make our Terms and Conditions clear, therefore please read this document carefully. We look forward to meeting you.

Your agreement with us

Please read these terms carefully as they make up your agreement with us, together with your booking confirmation and the information on our website. These terms and conditions apply to all booking contracts made with River Valley Holiday Park, either online, by phone or through a travel or booking agent.

 

Paying for your holiday/Booking. You will be required to pay a 25% deposit, to secure your holiday booking, this is non-refundable. Your remaining balance will be due in full 4 weeks prior to arrival. You will need to call us in the booking office to make a payment using a credit or debit card or you can pay online via our booking system.  If you have given us your e-mail address, we will send out a payment reminder e-mail a few days before your payment is due.

 

Special offers/discounts

Only one discount or special offer can be applied per booking. Once booked any offers that may become available subsequently, such as last-minute offers, cannot be applied to an existing booking.

It is your responsibility to let us know if you have not received your booking confirmation.

You will need to check the details on your booking confirmation are correct and you must notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We cannot accept responsibility for any errors not corrected prior to arrival.

It is not possible to offer part refunds if you decide to leave early. Once you advise reception that you have vacated your pitch / accommodation we reserve the right to re-let the pitch/accommodation.

 

River Valley Holiday Park reserve the right to re-let any Holiday Home or Touring Pitch unclaimed after 24 hours of the booking date unless otherwise notified. If you are going to arrive for a holiday after reception has closed, please call us. Due to our noise policy, only arrivals before 8.30pm will be permitted to pitch up. We reserve the right not to permit pitching up after dark.

All holidays cancelled less than 4 weeks before holiday dates must be paid for in full unless River Valley are able to re-let. You are strongly advised to take out a Holiday Cancellation Plan to cover any eventualities.

The person making the booking must be a member of the party and be over 18 years old and will be responsible for all the members of the party. Bookings and accommodation are non-transferable the lead party member must be present for the duration of the entire stay unless by prior arrangement with management.

The number of persons occupying the holiday accommodation must not exceed the advertised capacity of the accommodation booked. No more than 6 persons per camping pitch.

We are a family park and cater for families and couples. We regret that we cannot accept bookings for unaccompanied persons under 18 years of age or single sex groups

Small dogs are allowed in certain types of caravans but must never be left unattended. Similarly dogs are allowed in the touring field but should never be left unattended on the Park.  Dogs should be kept on a short lead or tie-up at all times.  They must not be allowed to foul the Park and all owners must clear up after their dogs. Any guests not complying with these requests will be asked to leave the Park and no refunds will be given. There is a dog charge of £30 per week – £15 for short breaks in static caravans

Holiday homes are available from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Touring pitches are available from 12pm and must be vacated by 11am.  We provide bed linen but not towels.Guests are not permitted to allow a visitor to enter through the barrier – doing so will render the barrier key useless. Visitors must report to reception on arrival and vacate the site by 9pm.

River Valley Holiday Park has an onsite security barrier.    Barrier passes must be returned by 11am on the day of departure.

River Valley Holiday Park reserve the right to terminate any booking application or to evict any person causing a nuisance, at their discretion. No refunds or compensation will be given for early departures.

We do not accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage however arising to any person using the caravan or the site nor do we accept responsibility for any damage occasioned to personal property, motor vehicles or pets brought into the caravans or onto the site.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the details contained in the site brochure and website are full and accurate, we are unable to accept responsibility for facilities that are subsequently found to be unavailable on the site nor in the caravans due to unforeseen circumstances.

Strictly no smoking in all caravans or in communal areas. Guest should stand well away from the caravan whilst smoking and in particular should not stand in the doorways.

All touring pitches are hardstanding, tents must be pitched on the hardstanding not on the grass.  Tents must not exceed 6m x 6m unless by prior arrangement. Gazebos, may not be permitted on the pitch if its size reduces the clear space required by fire regulations. Please check this when booking your pitch. You must ensure there is a 2m buffer between you and the next pitch. We allow barbeques on site but we do not allow fire pits.

We want the whole family to enjoy their holiday so please make sure you know where your children are at all times. Bicycles must be ridden in a safe and controlled manner. Parents or Guardians are responsible for their children at all times and must ensure that they use their wheeled apparatus in a safe manner. There is to be strictly no bicycles/ roller blades/ skates allowed around the Shower/Toilet facilities.

The Swimming Pool is available at the discretion of River Valley Holiday Park. There is no life-guard so children and non-swimmers should be accompanied at all times by a responsible Adult/Swimmer (18+).

Whilst we appreciate everyone is on holiday and we would like you to have the best time here at River Valley, we ask that guests abide by the no noise policy to ensure the peaceful enjoyment of the park by all guests. Therefore, please note we have a zero-tolerance policy after 10pm and children should be back at their Caravan/Pitch by this time.

We do not accept bookings from or allow anyone who is or has been on the violent and sex offenders register or any similar order, court proceedings or register.  By making this booking you are confirming that no one in your party is or has been on any such register.

Force Majeure. River Valley shall not be liable for any failure of or delay in the performance of this agreement for the period that such failure or delay is:

    • beyond the reasonable control of a party,
    • materially affects the performance of any of its obligations under this agreement, and
    • could not reasonably have been foreseen or provided against.
    • Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond the reasonable control of that party
    • Such causes include, but are not limited to: power failure, Internet Service Provider failure, acts of God, epidemic, pandemic, civil unrest, fire, flood, droughts, storms, earthquakes, collapse of buildings, explosion or accident, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action, any law or any action taken by a government or public authority, including without limitation imposing an export or import restriction, quota or prohibition, or any other event that is beyond the control of the party in question.
