While there are all sorts of things to see and do in Cornwall, the rugged coastline and golden beaches are still the star attraction. This quaint waterside village boasts a long sandy beach where you can enjoy kayaking, speedboat rides and windsurfing. (No dogs).

This picturesque cove, just a short hop over the coast path from Charlestown, is perfect for swimming and rock-pooling. (No dogs).
This tiny harbour beach is nestled between creases in the cliffs and has a pub with a sun terrace staring seaward.
With stunning castle views and two huge fields for parking, this large sandy beach is popular with swimmers and families. (Dog friendly).
This tiny fishing hamlet has a sandy beach bordered by a stone pier, and the coast path boasts an excellent cliff walk to Vault Beach and Dodman Head.
A small sandy cove on the River Fowey, this is the closest beach to Fowey town. (No dogs).
This flat sandy beach is backed by a pub, café and sports facilities.
A long sandy beach with a café and hotel facilities nearby, Pendower is popular with bathers.
A sandy stretch with rocky outcrops, Mevagissey’s main beach is reached via steps from the coast path.
This stunner of a beach rarely gets crowded due its access via a steep descent from the National Trust car park between Gorran Haven and Boswinger.
